Today I need to get my big boat out of the water, but first I must get this IOM finished. During the last days, the transom, keel box, mast tube and mast bulkhead was built together. The bulkheads was glassed from both sides. The keel box and the mast tube was built with small pieces of plywood.
The keelbox and mast tube are coated with epoxy, before everything is glued together with "super glue". The mast bulkhead and transom are bonded, and a hole was cut by the mast bulkhead on midships/deck height, by which a thin line from the bow is stretched to an auxiliary bar at the transom. Afterwards the parts that are ready for mounting inside the hull are aligned on the boats (described earlier) black center line, which was produced by painting the balsa strips to act as guidelines.

On this wire the mast will stand, and this wire will be led to deck level, curved and used as chainplates.  This way the pressure of the mast will balance out the forces in the rigwire, reducing the risk for a leak due to stress and movement.

Image The mast tube and the keel box is also glued with super glue. The cockpit is also glued together on both sides on template. Laminating was started on the outside, afterwards the inside; at first the templates on the inside were glued, secondly the templates on the outside were glued.  The inside templates were then taken out.
